This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes the information Logic, Inc. (“Logic,” “we,” “us,” or words of similar import) collects and uses as a result of individuals accessing our website (“Site”) or otherwise providing to us through interactions with us outside of the Site. Our Site can be found at https://www.logic-control.com/.

Logic is a leading distributor of advanced industrial hardware and software solutions. We offer our products, services and newsletter exclusively to businesses.

This Policy applies to the information we collect in association with your interactions with us, including, but not limited to, the use of the Site, phone and email communications with us, and social media interactions on other third-party websites like Facebook or YouTube. If a person accesses our Site and is not acting on behalf of a business or is not seeking a job with us, that person should not register an account with us or otherwise provide us with any “Personal Information” (as defined below).

By accessing or using our Site, you agree to the terms of this Policy, including to the collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Information as described in this Policy. If you disagree with any term provided in this Policy, you are not authorized to use the Site.

We collect certain categories of information about you when you interact with us and when you visit our Site, including when you access our Site or use its features, such as by registering an account on our Site, placing an order, signing up for our newsletter or participating in any other Site feature. Not all of this information is “Personal Information”. “Personal Information” generally means information about individuals that, with reasonable efforts, may be used to identify an individual. It includes, but is not limited to, items such as an individual’s first name, last name, birth date, addresses, email address, driver's license information, phone number, social media account or name, geo-location data, and similar identifying information.

Some features of our Site may require you to directly provide us with certain information about yourself. For example, when registering an account with us or ordering product from us, we may ask for your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and the name of the company for which you are opening the account.

You may elect not to provide this information, but doing so may prevent you from using or accessing these features. Information that you directly submit through our Site includes the following:

  • Basic contact details, such as name, address, phone number, and email. We use this information to communicate with you (including to tell you about products or services that may be of interest to you).
  • Employment-Related Information, such as information included in your resume or CV, references, and job history. We use job applicant details to process your application for employment and to evaluate your candidacy.
  • Any other information you choose to include in communications with us.

All payment information you supply is collected by Paystand. We do not store or collect payment information. Please see Paystand’s privacy policy to determine how they collect and secure your personal information.

  1. Information We Collect Automatically

We automatically collect certain information about your interaction with the Site (“Usage Data”). To do this, we may use cookies or other tracking technologies (“Tracking Technologies”). Usage Data includes the following:

  • Location information, such as approximate location, if you choose to provide it
  • Internet Electronic Network Activity Information, such as browser type, log data, date and time stamps, clickstream data, interactions with marketing emails, and ad impressions

We use Usage Data to tailor features and content to you, market to you, provide you with offers or promotions, run analytics and better understand user interaction with the Site.   1. Information We May Collect From Other Sources

We may obtain information about you from outside sources, including information that we collect directly from third parties and information from third parties that you choose to share with us. Such information includes the following:

  • Analytics data we receive from analytics providers such as Google Analytics.
  • Information we receive from career websites, such as LinkedIn, Monster, or Indeed, which we use to process your application for employment.
  • Information we receive when you choose to engage with us on any social media platforms, such as Facebook or YouTube.

Any information we receive from outside sources will be treated in accordance with this Policy. We are not responsible for the accuracy of the information provided to us by third parties and are not responsible for any third party’s policies or practices. In addition to the specific uses described above, we may use any of the above information to provide you with the services and to maintain our business relationship, including by enhancing the safety and security of our Site (e.g., troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, system maintenance, and reporting), providing customer support, sending service and other non-marketing communications, monitoring and analyzing trends, conducting internal research and development, complying with applicable legal obligations, enforcing any applicable terms of service, and protecting the Site, our rights, and the rights of our employees, users, or other individuals.

Logic uses cookies (small text files that a website saves on your computer or device when you visit a website) and other tracking tools to automatically collect information about how you use our Site and otherwise interact with the services provided on our Site. The information collected might relate to you, your preferences or your device, and is mostly used to make the Site work as you expect it to and to provide a more personalized web experience. Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but you may be able to control the way in which your devices permit the use of cookies. If you choose, you may block or delete our cookies from your browser; however, blocking or deleting cookies may cause some of the services provided by our Site, including certain features and general functionality, to work incorrectly.   1. How Do We Use the Information We Collect?

We do not sell your Personal Information. We also do not share or otherwise transfer your Personal Information to third parties except as described in this Policy.

We may disclose your information to third parties for legitimate purposes subject to the terms of this Policy, including the following categories of third parties: 

  • Our affiliates or others within our corporate group;
  • Vendors or other service providers who help us provide the services provided by the Site, including for system administration, cloud storage, security, customer relationship management, marketing communications, web analytics, payment networks, and payment processing;
  • Third parties to whom you request or direct us to disclose information, such as through your use of social media widgets or login integration;
  • Professional advisors, such as auditors, law firms, or accounting firms; and

We provide links to third-party websites (“Third-Party Sites”). If you follow the links to the Third-Party Sites that we do not control, you should review the applicable privacy notice, policies, and other terms. We are not responsible for the privacy or security of Third-Party Sites. Our inclusion of Third-Party Sites does not, by itself, imply any endorsement of the content on such platforms or of their owners or operators.

  1. How Do We Protect Your Information?

We are committed to protecting your Personal Information.  We require two-factor-authentication: (1) when a User attempts to login to their Logic account from an unrecognized IP address; and (2) once a month for users logging into their Logic account. We also monitor the security bulletins and fix any issues as soon as we are notified of a security issue. However, despite our reasonable efforts to protect your Personal Information, no security measures are impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee “perfect security.” Any Personal Information you send to us electronically, while using the services provided by our Site or otherwise interacting with us, may not be secure while in transit. We recommend that you do not use unsecure channels to send us sensitive or confidential information. 

  1. Notice to California Residents

The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (“CCPA”), requires that we provide California residents with a privacy policy that contains a comprehensive description of our online and offline practices regarding the collection, use, disclosure, sale, sharing, and retention of personal information and of the rights of California residents regarding their personal information. This section of the Privacy Policy is intended solely for, and is applicable only to, California residents. If you are not a California resident, this section does not apply to you and you should not rely on it.

The CCPA defines “personal information” to mean information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular California resident or household. Personal information does not include publicly available, deidentified or aggregated information or lawfully obtained, truthful information that is a matter of public concern.

Notice of Collection of Personal Information.

We currently collect and, in the 12 months prior to the Last Updated Date of this Policy, have collected the categories of personal information described in this Policy under the heading “Collection of Information.”

We collect personal information directly from California residents and from advertising networks, internet service providers, data analytics providers, government entities, operating systems and platforms, social networks, and data brokers. We do not collect all categories of personal information from each source.

In addition to the purposes stated above in the section “How Do We Use the Information We Collect,” we currently collect and have collected the above categories of personal information for the following business or commercial purposes:

  • Auditing related to counting ad impressions to unique visitors, verifying positioning and quality of ad impressions, and auditing compliance with this specification and other standards.
  • Helping to ensure security and integrity to the extent the use of your personal information is reasonably necessary and proportionate for these purposes.
  • Debugging to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality.
  • Performing services, including maintaining or servicing accounts, providing customer service, processing or fulfilling orders and transactions, verifying customer information, providing analytic services, providing storage, or providing similar services.
  • Short-term, transient use, including, but not limited to, non-personalized advertising shown as part of your current interaction with us, provided that your personal information is not disclosed to another third party and is not used to build a profile about you or otherwise alter your experience outside the current interaction with us
  • Providing advertising and marketing services, except for cross-context behavioral advertising, to you provided that, for the purpose of advertising and marketing, our service providers and/or contractors shall not combine the personal information of opted-out consumers that the service provider or contractor receives from us, or on our behalf with personal information that the service provider or contractor receives from, or on behalf of, another person or persons or collects from its own interaction with you.
  • Undertaking internal research for technological development and demonstration.
  • Undertaking activities to verify or maintain the quality or safety of a service or device that is owned, manufactured, manufactured for, or controlled by us, and to improve, upgrade, or enhance the service or device that is owned, manufactured, manufactured for, or controlled by us.

Sharing and Disclosure of Personal Information

The CCPA defines “sale” as the transfer of personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration. Although we do not “sell” personal information as that term is commonly understood (for money), we engage in online activities that may constitute a sale or the sharing of personal information under California law if it is determined that we have receive “other valuable consideration” for the personal information.

  • The right to delete personal information that we collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
  • The right to correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you.
  • If we sell or share personal information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing.
  • If we use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those allowed by the CCPA and its regulations, the right to limit our use or disclosure.
  • The right not to receive discriminatory treatment by us for the exercise of privacy rights the CCPA confers.

How to Submit a Request to Know, Delete, and/or Correct

You may submit a request to know, delete, and/or correct by contacting us as described below in this Privacy Policy.

If you submit a request to delete online, you may be asked to confirm separately that you want your personal information deleted.

If you are submitting a request on behalf of a California resident, please submit the request through one of the designated methods. After submitting the request, and if the request is not subject to an exemption or exception, we will require additional information to verify your authority to act on behalf of the California resident.

Our Process for Verifying a Request to Know, Delete, and/or Correct

We will comply with your request upon verification of your identity and, to the extent applicable, the identity of the California resident on whose behalf you are making such request. Our verification process may differ depending on whether you maintain a password-protected account with us.

If you maintain a password-protected account, we may verify your identity through existing authentication practices available through your account. Prior to disclosing or deleting the personal information, we will ask you to re-authenticate yourself with respect to that account.

If you do not maintain a password-protected account, or if you are an account-holder but we suspect fraudulent or malicious activity with your account, we will verify your identity either to a “reasonable degree of certainty” or a “reasonably high degree of certainty” depending on the sensitivity of the personal information and the risk of harm to you by unauthorized disclosure, deletion, or correction as applicable. To do so, we will ask you to verify data points based on information we have in our records concerning you.

Children’s Use of Our Services

The services we provide on this Site is not directed at children and children are not eligible to use our services. We do not collect or maintain personal information from individuals we actually know are under 16 years of age. If you become aware of any information we may have collected from children under 16 years of age, please contact us by using the information provided in Section 11, “Contact Information.”

  1. Changes to this Policy

We may modify this Policy from time to time, in which case we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Policy. If we make material changes to the way in which we use or disclose information we collect, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you (such as by emailing you at the last email address you provided us, by posting notice of such changes on the Site, or by other means consistent with applicable law) and will take additional steps as required by applicable law. If you do not agree to any updates to this Policy Notice, you will not be authorized to access or use the services provided by the Site.
